The Centerport Fire Department 's Cupola was severely weather damaged. Simply applying a coat of paint was not the answer.


CertaPro rented an 80 foot boom so that the painters could perform the proper job in complete safety.


Some of the top facia boards needed to be replaced.
CertaPro sized up the new wood, primed and painted the new pieces on all sides and
installed the new facia.


The paint was peeling all over. CertaPro scraped all the loose paint and primed the entire
structure with MAD DOG Primer, , a latex product that is able to stretch to 1500%
of it size. Properly applied, MAD DOG leaves a clear sticky membrane on the substrate that bonds with the substrate and the
new top coat.





The top coat of choice is from Sherwin Williams, Duration Exterior Gloss.
Duration goes on at 7 mils thick vs. other major brands at 4 mils.
Two coats of Duration were applied to the entire structure.




If you have a chance to drive by the Fire Department, take a good look at the Cupola.
It is a great job that will last for many years.

Task: Prep, paint, apply chair rail, crown molding and finish the Entertainment Center.





This interior was designed with color in mind. the home owner lived with white walls throughout the home for years. She finally took the leap and added color and what a difference it has made.

Looks great, but wait, we need to put the finishing touches to the wall.

Artrist, Tricia Rocco dares to apply the Faux finish. Home Owner, Donna Murdock, was a part of the accomplishment.

Careful there, oops, only two ceiling touch ups were required.

The finished product was unbelievable!

This 80 year old home has a slate roof in the front and rear. The only way to paint it was to use a boom. In addition, it required an enormous amount of prep. The end result was a fantastic looking paint system, a 100% percent happy customer and a great accomplishment for my crew. The pictures speak for themselves.








Mr. And Mrs Keller purchased this great home in Northport, NY after it had been converted into an apartment house. IT was wrapped in aluminum and vinyl siding since 1972. After many years of hard work, the exterior was now ready to be professionally painted. Mr. Keller is an architect and understands the quality of preparation that CertaPro painters of Northport was going to provide to get this great home into a condition that would allow the paint to adhere and last. Scraping was not enough. Each window frame trim board needed to be taken down to the bare wood. CertaPro Painters performed this operation using an electric paintshaver tool and raw muscle. The entire home was primed with Zinnsers PeelStop, a coat of Zinnsers CoverStain and top coated with two coats of Sherwin Williams SuperPaint. The end results are dramatic and we will allow the pictures form here on out to tell the story.

Before any deck can be stained, painted or sealed, it must first be powerwashed
and then it must be sanded.





Loose boards are screwed tight.

Product selection is key. Hard woods required 1 coat of a penetrating oil. Softer woods respond best to two coats of an acrylic product.



COMMUNITY SERVICE CertaPro restores the Village of Northport's Gazebo. Years of peeling paint were scraped and you guessed it, the substrate was primed with MAD DOG PRIMER. The surfaces were then covered in exterior white gloss SuperPaint from Sherwin Williams. All Services and products were donated.
